Basic Policy
Osaka City Museum of Science, part of the Osaka Museum Organization (hereinafter referred to as "the Museum"), recognizes the importance of personal information protection. The Museum complies with the Personal Information Protection Law (hereinafter referred to as "the Law") and strives to handle and protect personal information appropriately in accordance with this Privacy Policy (hereinafter referred to as "this Policy").
Definition of Personal Information
In this Policy, personal information refers to the information defined by Article 2, Paragraph 1 of the Law, which includes information about a living individual that can identify a specific individual through name, date of birth, or other descriptions contained in the information (including information that can easily be compared with other information to identify a specific individual) or information that includes personal identification codes.
Acquisition and Use of Personal Information
The Museum acquires personal information through proper procedures by clearly stating the purpose of use and does not use it for purposes other than those stated.
Purpose of Use of Personal Information
The acquired personal information is used to smoothly operate the services provided by the Museum.
Restrictions on the Use and Provision of Personal Information
Except as permitted by the Law or other regulations, the Museum does not use personal information for purposes other than those stated in the "Purpose of Use" or provide or disclose it to third parties without the prior consent of the individual.
Safety Management of Personal Information
The Museum takes necessary measures to prevent leakage, loss, or damage of personal information and to manage it appropriately. Additionally, when entrusting the handling of personal information to third parties, the Museum conducts necessary and appropriate supervision to ensure the safety management of personal information by the entrusted party.
Correction and Suspension of Use of Personal Information
If the Museum is requested by the user to correct, add, delete (hereinafter referred to as "Correction"), or suspend or erase the use of personal information (hereinafter referred to as "Suspension of Use") based on the provisions of the Law, the Museum will confirm that the request is from the user and will promptly make the Correction or Suspension of Use of personal information and notify the user of such action. However, if the Museum is not obligated to perform the Correction or Suspension of Use under the Law or other regulations, this does not apply.
