Purchase of admission tickets


When can I purchase the admission tickets?

WEB admission tickets can be purchased from 7 days before your visit. Notification emails regarding the purchase will be sent from the domain "@ticket.osaka.sci-museum.com", so please configure your email settings to receive them. Planetarium tickets can be purchased up to one hour before the projection starts. The ticket counter sells only same-day tickets, but sales will end if tickets are sold out.

Do I need to print the WEB admission ticket purchased from the official ticket site of the Osaka Science Museum?

It depends on whether you have a smartphone.
If you have a smartphone, you do not need to print the ticket. You can display the ticket screen using the URL provided in the purchase confirmation email or from the ticket confirmation page on the ticket site.

If you do not have a smartphone:
Please print the QR code displayed in the "Ticket Confirmation" section on our ticket site and bring it with you on the day of your visit. The printed QR code will be scanned upon entry.

Where can I purchase admission tickets?

You can purchase WEB admission tickets from the official ticket site of the Osaka Science Museum, or you can buy same-day tickets at the ticket counter of the museum.

Where can I check the tickets purchased online?

You can display the ticket's QR code using the URL provided in the purchase confirmation email or from the QR code display on the ticket site. If it is not listed under "Reservation/Purchase History," the transaction has not been completed. Please complete the process again. If you stop using the site for 20 minutes during the reservation process, your reservation will be automatically deleted, and you will be logged out.

How many WEB admission tickets can I purchase in one transaction?

You can purchase up to 15 WEB admission tickets at once.

Please tell me the payment methods for admission tickets.

At the ticket site, only credit cards (VISA, MasterCard, JCB, AMEX, DINERS) are accepted for payment in full at once.

At the museum ticket counter, you can use cash or credit cards (VISA, MasterCard, JCB, AMEX, DINERS, DISCOVER, and UnionPay) for payment in full at once.

Do you offer discounts for disability identification cards, student IDs, etc.?

Persons who present a disability certificate via a physical card or a digital app (including one caregiver) can purchase a same-day ticket at a discounted rate. Free admission to the planetarium with fee exemptions is limited to once per day. Please bring the necessary certificates or documentation and visit the ticket counter on the day of your visit.

If you wish to apply for exemptions or discounts, please purchase your tickets at the ticket counter of our facility instead of using the online ticketing site.

Starting from August 1, 2024, we have begun selling tickets online for high school and university students. Please present your student ID at the gate on the day of your visit.

Can tickets for exhibits intended for middle school students and younger be purchased only through the ticket site?

We do not sell free admission tickets (for exhibits intended for middle school students and younger) separately. Please purchase them together with other paid admission tickets.

Can I cancel or change the date/time of my purchase?

We do not accept cancellations, changes, or refunds due to customer circumstances on the day of the visit. If you purchased tickets in advance through our ticket site, you can cancel them yourself until 9:00 AM on the morning of your visit. Upon making a reservation or cancellation, a confirmation email detailing the procedure will be sent to the email address registered in advance. Please be sure to check the details.

Can I distribute purchased tickets online?

After purchase, you can select and distribute tickets from the confirmation screen by email.

Group Reservations


Can I make a group reservation?

For group reservations, please select "School Groups Click Here" or "General Groups Click Here" from the "Group Reservations" button on the online ticket sales site.
(General groups consist of 30 people or more) For more details about group reservations, please check the official website of the museum under "Reservation Methods for Group Customers."

Do you offer group discounts?

Group rates are offered at a 20% discount off regular admission prices.

【For School Groups】
Teachers and staff accompanying students pay the same rate as the children/students. However, if parents, photographers, bus attendants, etc., wish to visit the exhibits or planetarium, they must pay the adult group discounted rate. A completed application form is required for group bookings. The group representative should fill out and stamp the necessary application form, and bring it on the day of the visit.

【For General Groups】
Group reservations are available for 30 people or more. If the number of attendees drops to 29 or fewer on the day of the visit, regular admission rates will apply.

【For Welfare Groups】
Select "General Group" and then choose "Welfare Facility" for reservations. A completed application form is required for group bookings. The group representative should fill out and stamp the necessary application form, and bring it on the day of the visit.

Please note that cancellation shortly before the scheduled group visit may incur a cancellation fee. For more details, please check our official website.

My mobile phone has run out of battery, so I can't display the QR code.

Please inform the information desk at our facility.
If you have your purchase application number, please provide it along with your request.

An error occurred during the purchase process, and I'm not sure if the purchase went through.

If your purchase is complete, you can check your admission ticket on our facility's ticket confirmation page. If it does not appear, please try purchasing again.

Can I make a pre-purchase online with a feature phone (flip phone)?

You cannot purchase admission tickets online with a feature phone (flip phone). Please use a computer, smartphone, or tablet.
